Air, weather and lightning for each of your places.
NEA's Changi station records lightning on about 176 days a year, and haze arrives in seasons on top of that. HazeWatch puts both on one screen for the places you actually go.
The air now, and what to do
NEA's hourly PM2.5 reading, with NEA's advice for the next hour, for everyone or for children and other vulnerable groups.
Which way it's going
The average of the last three hours, with an arrow: up if the latest hour is more than 10% above it, down if more than 10% below.
The headline figure
NEA's 24-hour PSI, with NEA's bands from Good to Hazardous.
Weather and lightning
NEA's two-hour forecast; temperature, humidity, heat stress and rain from the nearest NEA stations; and a clear warning when lightning is detected within 6 km or thundery showers are forecast.
Told once, when it starts
In the iPhone app: lightning detected within 6 km of one of your places, or thundery showers in NEA's forecast there; PM2.5 in its NEA region above 55 (Elevated) or 150 (High), your choice; heavy rain in NEA's forecast for its area. One alert per place when conditions start, then none until they clear.
Your places, first thing
One notification at 7 am in the iPhone app, with each place's PM2.5 band and whether there's lightning within 6 km or thundery showers forecast.
Your places, without opening the app
Free: a small home-screen widget and lock-screen widgets for one place. With Plus, a medium widget shows up to four places. The home-screen widgets show PM2.5 for 1 hour and 3 hours, 24-hour PSI, temperature and a weather icon.
How the week went
Tap "Show last 7 days" on any place card: one column per day for its NEA region, from the lowest hourly PM2.5 to the highest, with a dot for the average, over NEA's bands.

Questions
Why not just use myENV?
myENV is NEA's free app and it covers a lot more: weather, floods, dengue, food alerts. If you want all of that, use it. HazeWatch only shows the air, weather and lightning at your places, on one screen. With Plus in the iPhone app, it also alerts you to lightning, forecast heavy rain or PM2.5 above the level you pick at any of them. They're HazeWatch's alerts, not official NEA ones.
Is HazeWatch official?
No. It's independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by NEA. It uses NEA's open data, published on data.gov.sg.
How precise is it for my street?
Singapore reports air quality for five regions, so each place gets its region's reading. Lightning is checked against each place's own location.
